Definition

What is the RideTandem app and dashboard?

RideTandem's mobile platform has three parts: a Rider App where passengers book and track journeys in nine languages, a Driver App for navigation and boarding, and a Client Hub dashboard where employers see every journey live. It runs on iOS, Android and the web.

The nine languages - English, Polish, Romanian, Portuguese, Spanish, Lithuanian, Latvian, Bulgarian and German - are deliberately built around industrial agency workers, seasonal agricultural workers and international students in the UK and Germany. No other UK staff-shuttle provider currently offers this range, and it is the single biggest reason riders actually book.

  • The workforce is multilingual. Most UK food and FMCG sites run on three or more first languages at ground level. Food & Drink Federation, 2024 - source to confirm
  • English-only apps lose riders. Second-language English users show measurable no-book rates when the app isn't in their language. RideTandem rider UX research, 2024 - source to confirm
  • Safeguarding and welfare. Multilingual incident reporting removes language barriers in an emergency. Association of Labour Providers welfare guidance
  • The German market expects it. Entry into Germany needs UBA-aligned emissions data plus native-language UX. Umweltbundesamt (UBA), 2024

How it works

How the app and dashboard work together.

One booking flows from the rider's phone, to the driver's manifest, to your dashboard, to the monthly report - the same data the whole way.

  1. 1

    Rider books

The passenger opens the app in their first language and books a seat for a shift.

  2. 2

    Driver receives the manifest

The Driver App navigates the route and scans each rider's QR code on boarding.

  3. 3

    You see it live

Boardings and GPS appear in the Client Hub in real time - and our 24/7 ops team sees the same view.

  4. 4

    Data lands in reports

Usage, punctuality, emissions and cost all land in one export, ready for HR, finance or ESG.

Offering riders the Rider App in nine languages is massive - none of RideTandem's competitors offer this.
