When I joined RideTandem in 2024, I knew I was stepping into something different. After 25 years in recruitment, predominantly within the industrial labour sector, I’d seen first-hand the challenges businesses face when trying to attract and retain talent. From FMCG to supply chain and logistics, I worked with high-volume sites across the UK, recruiting, managing, and supporting large workforces in fast-paced environments. But one issue kept showing up time and time again: people couldn’t get to work. That’s what drew me to RideTandem. The opportunity to be part of a business tackling transport poverty, sustainability, and access to employment wasn’t just a career move, it was a values decision. In my role, I work closely with employers to design and deliver smart, scalable transport solutions that help them meet staffing headcount demands, improve retention, and unlock access to untapped labour pools.Put simply: if transport is the barrier, we remove it. When I’m not talking about transport solutions or workforce strategy, I’m usually spending time with my family, reading (a lifelong habit that started with childhood classics and a torch under the duvet), or enjoying the outdoors. I’m a big believer in balance — ambitious in work, grounded at home.
